The raspberries keep coming in at a rate of 1-2quarts daily. Here pictured a handfull with the overripe going to me the under ripe throw to the birds although they are savy about ripeness. The three golden are indeed golden raspberries. Golden, and Salmon raspberries take some getting used to and the Gooseberries are all on ice. So far I have put 10 quarts in flat freezer bags but now I have started slicing the green apples for pies. We know we have to check the local ads for a real freezer.
Chopping Romaine, Lovage and Chives with what ever chunks of Ithica iceburg I can grab from the pots I have on our deck into a salad. Last years drought I couldn't keep any greens so I placed several in ornamental pots. This year I will have a wealth of cabbage.
One ripe tomato as of this a.m.
The peaches look, well, it's always a surprise with pit fruit (but they look gorgeous).
Today have to weed and swim before 11 a.m. then bike for 3 hours. My goal is to be able to lift 40 lbs. over my head and walk a mile. My reward is Joyce Carol Oates.
O.K. so mint tea with your own mint!
